We saw whales!
Hi!
We just got back from Melbourne - which is sort of at the bottom of Australia. I'm sick of driving! We were driving all day and then went to a hotel - and then the next day we kept driving! We drove on The Great Ocean Road which is beautiful - and we saw the Twelve Apostles which are rocks off the coast - standing out in the ocean. Cool. We saw about 50 Koalas in the wild, it was pretty awesome :-) We went to the city of Melbourne and I liked China Town. It was pretty cool with its own Chinese Target Store. Then we went to Philip Island near Melbourne. We watched penguins coming in from the beach at night, they were very small and funny. Next we went to a place called the Entrance. There was a 90 mile beach! We played on the dunes and in the tall grasses, so cool cause noone could find each other. On the last day of our trip we saw whales out in the ocean - from the balcony of our hotel. We watched them squirting water and flapping their tails. It was pretty cool, really cool.
I enjoyed our holiday - how are you guys doing? Sorry I haven't written in a while, I've been pretty busy. I've got to go, Bye,
Love,
Isabella

summer finally
It's finally summer! Imiss you soooooooooooooooooooo much! How you going?, oops I mean How are you doin?
It's been a couple of busy months. Sorry I haven't written for a while. I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I had a lot of fun because my cousin Madeleine (I miss you!) and my Aunt, Uncle and Grandma all came to visit me. After having a great time visiting the sights in Sydney we flew to Adelaide in Southern Australia and then took a Ferry to Kangaroo Island. My favorite part of the trip was seeing dolphins gliding in the water next to the Ferry. They looked kind of blue with a stripe on their back. We also saw Fairy penguins, the littlest species of penguins in the world. They were very very cute with blue on their backs to the start of their belly and white on them. The beaches were so beautiful. I saw koalas and kangaroos (they were taking the food right off the table while we were having a picnic!) We saw sea lions and seals and something called echidnas (a-kid-na) that look like little porcupines with a pointy nose - sort of like hedgehogs!
We're back to school now - I'm finally in Year 3! I have a really nice teacher this year , her name is Mrs. Sifko. I have a nice class and one of my really good friends named Kristin is in my class. Junior School is really really fun because you have a bigger classroom.
Sorry I have to go, I miss you!
Bye,
Isabella

Last day of Prep School
Last day of Prep School
Today was my last day of school. I had a half day instead of a full day and we gave out little parcels such as a lot of candy canes, chocolates and Christmas cards. I am finally in Year 3! At our school Year 3 is the Junior School so I will be on a different part of the campus and have a different playground and everything. I can even eat school lunch in Year 3 - in Prep school you always have to bring your lunch. I don't have to wear the red apron over my uniform and the red hat with the ear flaps when I go outside! The Junior school girls wear ball caps for P.E.
Here I have a pool and I went swimming in it today. It's summer here.
Last week I got a trophy for Best Gymnast in Prep School. It's really cool. I had my first gymnastics meet last week - I did well I got 3rd all-around 2nd on Beam, 2nd on Vault, 3rd on Bars and 4th on Floor. It was fun.
Bye for now,
Love, Isabella
